Skillful Women Inspiring New GolfersMentoring is a very important part of the EWGA education experience. This program helps new golfers gain comfort being on the golf course with others and transition into organized play opportunities through a a “golfing buddy”. This is what EWGA is all about- helping women enter the game of golf in a fun, supportive environment. The mentor program runs from January 1st-December 31st each year. Mentees: If you would you like someone to help you get around the golf course safely and answer questions about etiquette, basic rules and other nuances of the game to build your confidence and comfort in the golf course setting this program is for you. Benefits:
Mentors: If you are an experienced golfer who knows how to get around the golf course effectively regardless of your golfing skill and have an understanding of basic rules and etiquette you should sign up to become a mentor. A mentor is responsible for helping a new golfer become comfortable on the course, learn about the basics of the game, and become more involved in EWGA. Benefits:
To become a mentor or mentee, send mailto:ewgaomaha@yahoo.com stating your name and which role you would like to fill. The Golf Education Chair will then match up available mentors to mentees and you will begin receiving all the benefits that come with this position.
